How to play "classic" wargames with miniatures

1/6000th Scale

At this scale, a hex represents 240m of real terrain. This is the good scale to play "PanzerBlitz", or "Panzer Grenadier". I also use it for regimental level napoleonic wargames, using Fréderic Bey's "jours de Gloire" rules to conduct several army corps to battle.

All three scales of miniatures fit well for the counters (2mm, 3mm and 6mm).

On these pictures, we can compare the different sizes.

on the left, 3mm SU 152 and soviet infantry from oddzial Osmy (distributed by Pico Armor), and the 6mm ones from Heroics & Ross

On the right : 2mm Irregular's napoleonic infantry and cavalry regiments, and an artillery battery.

A few examples of maps I made for this scale. At the moment, I have only made "PanzerBlitz" maps 1,2 and 3, which I customized a bit. I prepare a new set from my own for the 1812 russian campaign. Each map is in two parts and measures 110.6cm x 40cm, which represents 6600m x 2400m in real terrain.

  Sorry, coming soon.

You will find below some pictures of games, and landscapes.
